Locate Mouli d'al Roc on Multimap
. ![]() Map of Europe showing Carcassonne and Toulouse Flights:London (Stanstead) via Ryanair to Carcassonne (65km) & Perpignan (90km) London (Heathrow) via Go to Toulouse (130km) London (Heathrow & Stanstead) via Go to Barcelona (300 km). This route is particularly interesting because not only do you get an opportunity to visit Barcelona (2/3 hours drive away from Moulin du Roc), but also car hire is much cheaper (approx 30%)
By plane Driving:Fastest route: Calais via AutoRoute des Soleil (Dijon, Lyon, Montélimar, Orange, Narbonne, and Carcassonne. Then D117 & D118 to Quillan via Limoux. It is possible to drive down in 14 hours, especially at night when the kids are asleep, or drugged and fail to see McDonalds signs. On return journey, best to calculate that car laden with wine, you can add 1 hour extra to your journey for every 100 litres carried. We are currently negotiating with DHL and TNT for advantageous child/return door to door postal delivery in order to facilitate carrying home those extra cases of Corbierre. There are two delivery rates currently available: A) Simple label attached to neck a la Paddington Bear or B) The deluxe wooden crate with air holes as optional extras.
By car Some of our clients use the car/rail facilities, especially those with large and young families. I have looked at the prices and it is interesting to note that after all cost calculations, food, fuel, hotel, auto route charges, time, vehicle depreciation (impossible to calculate) and driver fatigue (ditto) etc, the cost is only about £2/300 more.
